About this book
"Wings of silver by Evelyn Gage Browne" is a collection of inspirational poems written in the early 20th century. The book centers on spiritual awakening and resilience, using images of wings, stars, sky, and the sea to explore love, faith, and the soul’s ascent beyond fear and sorrow. The poems move from an opening hymn to the life-force that urges all creation to unfold, to meditations on purposeful journeying, the omnipresence of divine Love, and the patient power of faith. A cosmic chorus calls humanity to claim its divine likeness, while a life-spanning monologue transforms loss and death into homecoming. We encounter moral parables of weaving despair through hate or contentment through love, a vow to keep the heart’s door open despite risk, and a confession that fame and gold weave only a tattered web without Love as warp and woof.
